Fundraising Canoe Race for the Black Barn Thatch

The Trust has to raise £40k each year. This year it is faced with the challenge of needing a further £50k. Meeting that challenge is a great friend of the Trust, Peter Walker and daughter Eleanor as they take part in the 125 mile Devizes to Westminster race in a 2 man Kayak starting Easter Saturday.

Peter Walker and daughter Eleanor are aiming to complete the Devizes to Westminster Canoe Challenge this Easter and raise money for the Trust. Peter helped to paint the barn last year but now it needs a new thatch. He says “Please give generously because I know doing this is going to hurt a lot but the facilities at Rushall give a breath of fresh air to thousands of children each year!”

Father and daughter completed the event over four days in 2013 and won the veteran /junior class in 20 hours 21 minutes. Now competing as a senior team they will continue non-stop with the aim of doing this gruelling task in under 24 hours supported by their family.

You can sponsor them in support of a new thatch for the Black Barn.
