Lambing at Rushall Farm
Lots of schools choose to visit Rushall Farm during lambing. For a variety of economic and practical reasons we now have 2 lambing periods. Whilst any time in February, March and April will be good times to visit the farm at its busiest, see lots of sheep and hold lambs, there will be specific weeks where schools are more likely to see lambs being born. Please look at the attachment below to see when would suit your school
Every year we scan our ewes so we know how many lambs each ewe is having. This means we can intervene if there are lambing problems and it also means we can feed the pregnant ewes accordingly.
